i would like to add: trauma isn't your permission to harass either.

your insecurities, trauma, and hurt aren't permission to harass.

others' trauma or historical hurt isn't your resource to weaponize either.

"I've been traumatised and therefore I can traumatise others" has not and will not ever be an acceptable excuse or justification, and it's utterly egregious how common it has become as a discourse beat. We deserve understanding and sympathy, and trauma/hurt/etc can contextualise why we feel and behave certain ways, but we still have a responsibility not to harm others and we are accountable for the consequences if we do so.

"others' trauma or historical hurt isn't your resource to weaponize either" !! and it's similarly worrying how common that has become to do, too!
